Shading style study- simple by thatoneboxtosser Shading style study- simple by thatoneboxtosser
Here's just looking back on how i used to shade things with my simple 4-color shading. I may or may not add another color into the mix, but as more colors are added, the picture can get to be a little bit too "busy", and the goal of my style of artwork is to keep it easy on the eyes so that you're not having to strain yourself, just to enjoy it.

be aware, these are only a few little bits, and there's many more i'm leaving out x'D but eh... i'll post some other texture samples with higher shade counts to do a side-by-side comparison later.

x'D you're welcome... but honestly it'd probably look better with only three colors, having the second darkest color being the outline, now that i think of it.
