Woohoo! finally got his fists rigged!

This scene is simply testing all of the facial rigs and elements together with movement and fluid animation.

(If the video breaks, don't worry, I'll be fixing it shortly)

Enjoy!

I actually made the whole model and animation rig in Hash: Animation Master, but i certainly wouldn't recommend the program now that i've used much better ones XD

nice rig. from the reflections it looks like you have two lights in the scene. one in from and one to the right.

I hope to look into learning animation in the near future for one of my projects.

Thanks, and it's a pleasure!

I'll be working on plenty more in the future, no need to worry!
I'll be going back to college in about a week here so unfortunately i can't offer a ton of help in that matter, but :iconthatld: may be able to help in a pinch, though he tends to get rather busy himself!

Wow, thats a really kind gesture! Thanks so much, man. :)
It'll be a while before I start learning, unfortunately there are so many distractions (few of them actually productive) at the moment so I'm lucky if I can even finish a picture these days.

Again, thanks loads for this comment. You're a top bloke.

I get there myself, too from time to time, honestly. I just started distracting myself with Cave Story a while ago, and just now finally beat the hardest game path, so it's back to artwork for me!

Absolutely, the amount of times I've gotten frustrated with a difficult pic, only to find that after a few days off, it suddenly becomes so much clearer I couldn't say. Patience and rest is in my opinion essential for an artist to retain his sanity.

Can you please tell me which program you use for?

Yup! This is just a tiny little potential clip of a 3D animated "Short" (7-15 minute) Film that I'm working on.

I taught myself 90% of what I know with this program, it's fairly easy to get the hang of once you have the basic concepts and learn a few tricks.

It's really a wonderous feeling to see one's character coming to life.

Very nice and fluid thus far :)

Though hmm, eyes are there but you might want to have the mouth growl a little more obvious. It's a little hard to see.

Oh, just need to ask...is Mute's face soft or it's pretty much plating too?

Something I've noticed: Every time you comment on Cross's work, you take the effort to find something 'wrong' with it that you can point out. I'm not sure why you do this. Maybe you're genuinely interested in helping him out, maybe you just want to feel important. But I've also noticed this: you don't point out a single thing that actually needs work if you know the character or Cross's intentions. You always pick on things he has a reason for doing. You try to call him on stuff that he got right for the character, situations, mood, etcetera, and you do it with an air of superiority that I'm not sure you even realize is there. And half the time the stuff you point out seems like you've really had to stretch for it. Maybe it's time to take a break from searching for anything that could be 'wrong' and start trusting that Cross has reasons for doing things? Mute is a well-developed character that Cross has put a lot of time and effort into. I can understand wanting to point out issues with proportions, but telling him he has the facial expressions wrong is just insulting.

And as for proportions, have you ever seen a picture of Dynamo? There's not a single thing wrong with Mute's legs. Taking Dynamo's extremely long limbs into account, Mute falls well into the proportionate range of the X series. You can't base everything off of X himself. Every character is different. So will you please stop trying to be 'helpful' and point out all these 'errors' in Cross's work? It annoys him having to deal with the fact that most of them are completely ignorant to his attentions, and it annoys me having to deal with him being in a foul mood because he's too nice to say anything to your face. This is why you would never be allowed to join Rebuilding. So please, sit back, enjoy the art, and stop looking for things you can criticize. It's getting you nowhere and it's giving me- and him- a huge headache.

Geez man, calm down. Everyone's work needs improving. Sophiera's just pointing things out that he may need to look out for next time. It's critique. It helps people improve. No point in just saying the work is good. Knowing what you need to work on can help you focus on that area and improve it a little more. If everyone says the work is great and says nothing on how to improve the work, the artist is gonna think that he/she is doing everything correctly and will improve slower than when he/she recieves critique to take in.
